A constant is a named value that cannot be changed after it is defined during the script’s execution. Constants do not use a dollar sign. Variables do use a dollar sign and can be reassigned. Here, COURSE_NAME and ACTIVITY_NUMBER stay fixed, while the student variable changes from a first name to a full name.
